6th Global Meeting of the Mountain Partnership to be held in Aspen, Colorado on 26 - 29 September 2022

Every 4 years, the Mountain Partnership, a UN voluntary alliance dedicated to mountain areas, holds its Global Meeting of members from diverse mountainous countries. The upcoming 6th Global Meeting from 26- 39 September in Aspen, Colorado will be the main event of the United Nations' "International Year of Sustainable Mountain Development 2022". The meeting will be held for the first time in North America and bring together stakeholders from government, civil society, research and international organisations from across the mountain world.

The two-and-a-half-day event will establish the Mountain Partnership agenda and high-level advocacy goals for the next four years. It aims to place sustainability and resilience of mountain ecosystems and communities at the centre of international processes, policies, and investments. The event will culminate with a forum hosted by the Aspen Institute.

The meetings and interactive discussions will take place at the Aspen Meadows Resort at a reduced rate per night. Contributions to confirmed side events and discussions are still possible.

More information can be found online on the meeting website and in the attached Overview and Event Prospectus documents.
