On 15th June 2015 in Kiev, Poland signed the latest Protocol to the Carpathian Convention - the Protocol on Sustainable Transport, that was adopted at the last Meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP4) in Mikulov, the Czech Republic in September 2014.
Sustainable transport represents a major challenge for today’s rural and urban environments – particularly in sensitive mountain regions of the Carpathians. Therefore, signing and smooth ratification of the Transport Protocol by all seven Carpathian Counties is a matter of utmost importance in order to strengthen and enhance cooperation between the Parties on this issue and start implementation of the Protocol's provisions.
Sincere congratulation to Poland for its fast and successful development and thanks for the commitment in the implementation of the Carpathian Convention!
