Poland, in its capacity of the Presidency of the Carpathian Convention, will host the Carpathian Ministerial Conference on 21 – 22 November 2022 in Rzeszów, Poland, which will allow for high-level discussion on topics that are highly relevant from the regional and international perspective. The programme of the Conference will focus on two main subjects: 1) biodiversity in the Carpathians and the post-2020 global biodiversity framework, giving a particular attention to the role of the Carpathian Convention in implementation of that framework and 2) situation in Ukraine with regard to direct and indirect impacts of the war on the environment and possible measures needed to address their consequences.
