CNPA Steering Committee Roundtable
19 July 2021, ONLINE MEETING
The Secretariat would like to ask you to save the date for the upcoming roundtable meeting of the Steering Committee of the Carpathian Network of Protected Areas (CNPA SC), planned to be held on 19th July 2021 at 10:00-12:00 in an ONLINE FORMAT, organized in cooperation and coordination with the EU Central Europe Project Centralparks and the EU Danube Transnational Programme Project ConnectGREEN.
Seen the importance of involving all members of CNPA SC, the Secretariat would like to remind the Focal Points who have not yet nominated the current CNPA SC member to proceed to do so and inform us about the nomination and ensure the participation of all CNPA SC members in the meeting.
The main topics to be discussed at CNPA SC meeting are:
- Update on CNPA work and last relevant activities and uptake of the results of the EU CE Centralparks and EU DTP ConnectGREEN projects
- Active contribution to the International Conference “Protected Areas – Cornerstones of Ecological Connectivity in the Carpathians and Beyond”, taking place on 28-30 September 2021 in Visegrád, Hungary/online and to the panel discussion “Protected Areas as Europe’s ecological backbone – exchange between the Networks of Protected Areas”, organized within the conference on 29 September at 17:00 – 18:30
- Cooperation with the Carpathian Convention and its relevant WGs
- Contribution of the Carpathian Convention and CNPA to the Post-2020 global biodiversity processes and cooperation with other mountain regions
