NaturaConnect Final Stakeholder Event: Pathways to a Trans-European Nature Network

The event will bring together policymakers, government authorities, conservation managers and researchers to discuss how NaturaConnect’s scientific results, decision-support tools, datasets and policy recommendations can continue supporting biodiversity conservation beyond the project’s lifetime.

Participants will have the opportunity to explore the project’s key outputs, including approaches for protected area expansion, ecological restoration and connectivity planning in support of the EU Biodiversity Strategy for 2030 and the EU Nature Restoration Regulation. The programme will also feature presentations from NaturaConnect case studies, including the Danube–Carpathian Region, highlighting experiences from local, regional and national levels.

The Secretariat encourages interested stakeholders to register by 7 September 2026. Further information, including the agenda and registration details, is available on the NaturaConnect event webpage.

The Secretariat also wishes to express its sincere gratitude to all members of the Carpathian community who contributed to the NaturaConnect project through questionnaires, workshops and webinars. Their engagement has been an invaluable contribution to the project’s achievements.
