Fifth meeting of the WG Cultural Heritage and Traditional Knowledge

Following the kind offer made by the Hungarian Presidency at the Fifth Meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP5) to host a meeting of the Working Group on Cultural Heritage and Traditional Knowledge (WG Cultural Heritage), we are happy to announce that its Fifth Meeting will take place on 4 – 5 April 2018 in Hungary.
The first day of the meeting will take place in the Hungarian Open Air Museum (Szentendre Skanzen), while the second day in Budapest. The Host of the meeting, the Hungarian Presidency, will organize transportation for the meeting participants from Budapest to Hungarian Open Air Museum and back.
According to the Decision COP5/11 para 4., the main objective of the WG Cultural Heritage meeting is to identify priorities for the implementation of the Article 11. of the Carpathian Convention and to propose next steps to the CCIC, including the possibility of the development of a redrafted Protocol on Cultural Heritage and Traditional Knowledge.
